BBQ!

We were able to meet up with friends for a BBQ over Thanksgiving weekend in CA. Got to see Carrie and Don, Becky and Pete, Cindy and Michael and Sunshine, along with all the kids. Was so fun to see them all playing together!

One more soccer pic...

Okay, we've been trying to get a shot of this for weeks. This is Ryan's reaction whenever his team scores, or the other team misses a shot or is blocked from scoring. We didn't get the follow through shot with his hands all the way up in the air, but imagine that plus him screaming 'Yes!'.
Yes, so he's a little type-A and competitive, I think we need to have the sportsmanship discussion with him :)

Soccer!

Here are a few pictures from today's soccer game. The Red Foxes have a great record so far [8-1-1] (not that we're keeping score!).

Halloween!

Had lots of fun trick or treating on Halloween! Here's Ryan as Jango Fett, with his treat bag that he decorated last week. We went through the entire neighborhood and got lots of fun stuff!

Tried to get a shot of all the neighborhood kids - so much for that :)

Driving Range

We all went to the driving range last week for some fun. We all hit a few and had a blast!

Schnepf Farms - Pumpkin Patch

Last week we went to Schnepf Farms to visit their pumpkin patch. Ryan and I were able to go with Pho Pho and Phwa Phwa who were visiting from CA for the weekend. We had so much fun!

Haunted Sleepover!

Ryan and Austin went to the Haunted Sleepover at the Boys and Girls Club last night. They got to play dodge ball, watch movies, see a band play, and walk through a haunted house. They probably did more than that, but that was all the information we could get out of them!

Here they are when we dropped them off

The older kids gave Karen and I a preview of the haunted house, here are some of the highlights:

And here are the boys - the morning after. A little tired, but they had a lot of fun.

Cardinals Game

Chris and Ryan went to a Cardinals game today, Ryan's first pro football game! Here are some pictures:

Charles Barkley!

So, I'm here in Denver at a conference and ended up sitting right next to Charles Barkley on the flight here! He is Chris' all time favorite athlete, so I tried to take a picture with him, but he politely declined. He did give me an autograph, and chatted a bit with me during the flight. I told him that Chris has always been a huge fan and that Chris' mom once made him a birthday cake of Charles' head! Hopefully he wasn't too freaked out by that :) He told me to thank Chris for the support.

I was able to snap a shot of him with my cell phone as he was walking off the flight, here's the picture:

And here's a picture of his autograph

Sea Monsters

Ryan saw his first IMAX movie today, was a 3-D movie about prehistoric sea monsters. Here he is in front of the exhibit of the mouth of one of the sea monsters:

Red Foxes 1st Game Day!

Ryan had his first game day Saturday. His team, the Red Foxes, played two games and was victorious both times. They don't keep score, but of course all the kids did (ok, we did too!). Ryan did really well, scored one goal and was a great defender and successfully blocked three goals by the purple team. We had a lot of fun watching, and Ryan had a blast playing. Ryan was also excited that Uncle Robert got to watch too.

School Volunteer

I volunteered in Ryan's classroom this past Thursday. Had lots of fun seeing what it's like to be in kindergarten again! After my time helping out, I was able to have lunch with Ryan and his friends in the cafeteria...I took a couple pictures with my cell phone:

Ice Skating

We took Ryan ice skating a few weeks ago. After some tears because he wasn't good right away, we got a hold of the skate trainer for him. That gave him a lot more stability than what he got from me or Chris and he was much better off. We had a great time and Ryan's excited to go back soon!
